Thank you to all our visitors who came to the Community Waterfront Heritage Centre during the Summer Season of 2019. The staff and volunteers enjoyed sharing the marine, rail and industrial history of Owen Sound with you.
The Board of Directors of the Community Waterfront Heritage Centre has decided that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the museum will not re-open to the public for the 2020 Season. You can still enjoy artifacts, large and small, on the east and north side of the former CN Station. See more information about these artifacts on this website. Something new this year is the virtual exhibit Celebrating a Century viewable on YouTube and outside the museum using Augmented Reality.
The Community Waterfront Heritage Centre staff and volunteers welcome you to our Centre. The Heritage Centre is located at 1155 1st Avenue West, Owen Sound. Our phone number is 519-371-3333.
The Community Waterfront Heritage Centre celebrates and preserves Owen Sound’s heritage on the waterfront. It focuses on the marine, rail and industrial history of the City and surrounding communities.
Check the “Visit” page to find out about our location and how to access it during the 10th Street Bridge construction. The page also includes the Centre’s hours and information about the Centre. We hope to see you often.
