The tug Petite Forte and barge St. Marys Cement returned to Owen Sound on July 16. They arrived during the night and unloaded throughout the day.
After arriving in Owen Sound on June 6th for its first visit, the Petite Forte and St. Marys Cement ended up sticking around for a few weeks. We don’t know why they tied up for so long, but we’ve heard rumours about internal mechanical work and/or painting being done while they were here
This most recent trip was also a bit unusual, as the dense smoke from Northern Ontario wildfires slightly obscured the tug and barge pair unless you got close.
